Charity Cabaret Show 5th April 2019

We are delighted to announce a charity Cabaret Show "Remember Delilah with Barry Mason" at the Sandpit Theatre, Sandringham School on Friday 5th April at 7.30pm.

Barry sings the songs and tells the stories behind the hits he has written, including "Delilah", Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes" and "The Last Waltz", the people they were written for, with some tales of the 60s and 70s.

Charity Play Performance at Abbey Theatre 2nd May 2019

We are delighted that on Thursday 2nd May 2019 at 7.30pm there will be a charity performance of "Things I Know To Be True" by Andrew Bovell at the Abbey Theatre in St Albans. The play is a funny, touching and honest account of family life in the Australian suburbs. It has been well reviewed and should be an enjoyable evening out.

Proceeds from the performance will go to carefully selected charities identified by our Community Service and International committees

Rotary St Albans Charity Cycle Ride 19th May 2019

On Sunday 19th May there will be the 25th Annual Rotary St Albans Charity Cycle Ride. For more information please go to http://www.saccr.co.uk

We are a charitable trust and actively raise funds for local and international charities. Key events are:

  • The Marine Band Concert in January, working with Radlett Rotary Club.
  • The annual St Albans Rotary Charity Cycle Ride. You can register at the www.saccr.co.uk website.
  • Our Rotary Charity Golf Day at Verulam Golf Club in May
  • Our Christmas appeal- collections at Morrisons and with Santa’s sleigh.

Our 2018 Charity Golf Day raised £5100 for Rennie Grove Hospice Care. The Quiz in aid of Rotary Foundation raised £1300 for the eradication of Polio. Alzheimer’s UK benefited by £4500 from the Rotary Marine Band Concert and the Jaipur Limb Project received £1000 raised at our Charity Curry Night.

Christmas Charity Collections 2018 - This year, thanks to the generosity of the public, we raised over £3000. £1154 from the Santa Float, £2282 from the collections at Morrisons and £457 from Santa's Grotto at the St Albans Lights "switch on".
